Director
Amanda
Hi, I’m Amanda, as a Director at The Wellness Project I support with project management and planning as well as lead on the consultancy support, driving impact through insight. I am a social researcher with 25 years’ experience of managing research and engagement projects. As well as supporting The Wellness Project I run an independent research and engagement consultancy called Mill Research. We specialise in project and programme evaluations and research insight, with particular emphasis on ensuring all voices are heard and able to contribute to the design and delivery of services and initiatives that affect them. In recent months I have revisited a previous role and worked closely with community members in Tameside to upskill them in community research, co-designing a training programme and providing ongoing support. In my spare time I volunteer for a local community group who encourage older people to remain socially active by providing activities and social events to combat loneliness.

Trainer, Facilitator and Management Consultant
David Nixon
I'm David and I help individuals, groups and organisations create FLOW. I use creative process for training, coaching and speaking events. I apply creative process to complex problems to make sense of difficult situations. This work is supported by training in Occupational Therapy and experience in Knowledge and Information Management. In 2014 I presented at the World Federation of Occupational Therapists International Congress in Yokohama, Japan. I was there to present my work on the "Kawa Poetics." As a global developer for the Kawa Model I have continued my work on the use of this "culturally responsive model" from occupational therapy to help people achieve their goals in bespoke and meaningful ways. I am currently planning a book about the "poetic language of rivers." I have also been a fire breather, puppeteer and performance poet. I am currently woking with a group of artists and practitioners to establish a physical base for Driftwood Studio. This will support the development of creative projects with, personal, public and professional aims. At Driftwood we believe everyone is an artist and deserves the opportunity to explore their own creative purpose for health, happiness and prosperity. https://www.driftwoodstudio.co.uk/

Trainer
Hafsa Aneela Bashir
I'm Hafsa. I am an award-winning poet, playwright, producer and creative practitioner who specialises in using the arts as a form of empowerment and expression. I love working in the heart of community where radical kindness, social justice and an anti-racist approach underpins everything I do. I am part of the Voices For Change initiative delivering workshops to the south Asian community to help create awareness around the menopause. I am a mother of five, grandmother of four and mother-in-law to three – all of which informs my practice. I love reading books, discovering new places and enabling people to archive their histories and experiences in the ways they want so in a hundred year’s time, people can learn from those that came before them. A personal goal is to create meaningful, widely recognised work across poetry, theatre and performance that connects with audiences and contributes to cultural conversations. Professionally I want to grow as a leader, using creativity to support wellbeing and trauma-informed work in women’s health, especially for underrepresented and vulnerable communities.

Trainer
Leah Chikamba
I'm Leah and I specialise in trauma-informed support, women’s empowerment, and community-led wellbeing initiatives. My work focuses on supporting women to rebuild confidence, develop leadership skills, and create sustainable, positive change in their lives through lived experience approaches. I founded Angels of Hope for Women and lead community programmes that create safe, empowering spaces where women can openly share their experiences and grow together - turning lived experiences into leadership and strength. My goal is to expand our reach so that more women and families can access supportive, trauma-informed services, while continuing to develop leadership opportunities for women with lived experience.
