Connect 5: Mental Wellbeing Training

Connect 5 is a mental health training programme made up of three progressive modules. Designed to improve mental wellbeing conversations in the workplace, it equips individuals with the skills, confidence, and knowledge to support others, while also enhancing their own mental wellbeing.

Connect 5 is ideal for anyone working or volunteering in a public-facing role across Greater Manchester.

Connect 5 helps to break down stigma, raise awareness, increase understanding, and foster better support around mental health. It is grounded in the evidence based ‘Five Ways to Mental Wellbeing’ framework and other proven psychological approaches.

How it Works

Module 1: (3 hours): An introductory session suitable for anyone having occasional conversations about mental wellbeing at work. It provides foundational knowledge and skills.

Module 2: (4 hours): Expands on Module 1 by introducing motivational questioning techniques and guidance on recognising and responding to signs of suicide. This module is ideal for those involved in more in-depth wellbeing conversations.

Module 3: (4 hours): Builds on the previous modules by offering a deeper exploration of tools and techniques to support ongoing mental wellbeing. It is suited for those regularly engaging with individuals to improve their wellbeing.
